Katerina Mertikas is a self-taught artist based out of Ottawa. Her clear passion for family and children shine through in her colourful and vibrant "naive" expressionist art. Her work has been featured regularly on cards, calendars and stamps for Unicef & the Canadian Lung Association and her originals can be found in many galleries across the country.
'Shiny Streets' is our second puzzle collaboration with Katerina. While Another Goal provides a tantalizing challenge to hockey fans, Shiny Streets offers a colourful tribute to bus drivers, crossing guards, teachers, and kids of all ages.

A new obsession
Amazing puzzle! Bought for my 14 year old son and he LOVED it. From the box, to the steel, to the amazing detailed pieces (especially a few hidden ones that he found)…a huge hit! We are now obsessed and can’t wait to buy another.
Great Christmas gift
I bought the ‘Shiny Streets’ puzzle for my sister as a Christmas gift. We both admire Katerina’s art work so this was a perfect puzzle for her. She and her granddaughter did the puzzle together. Her granddaughter liked it so much, she took the puzzle home to do it again. The unique shapes of the pieces plus the gorgeous art combined to provide a thoroughly enjoyable puzzle experience. I will definitely look at purchasing another Stumpcraft puzzle.
Evocative Puzzling with Shiny Streets
This beautiful image in primary crayon colors evokes memories of going to school on a rainy morning. The clever cutting design made solving this puzzle a bit more difficult than one might expect, but still very relaxing and approachable. I especially loved the puzzles-within-the puzzle whim-whams. Some of them are pictured in my photo. Don't look at the photos if you want to preserve more of that whim-wham mystery and surprise! When you are finished with this puzzle, flip it over and make sure you find all the wonderful whim-whams. This puzzle is definitely a cut above.
A beauty
Although a little challenging, this puzzle was a delight to complete.
Shiny Streets
It was fun to do, cute but not very difficult.
