About the Art
Nestled in Yoho National Park, Emerald Lake is a gem of the Canadian Rockies—its jade-green waters reflecting the towering peaks, dense forests, and ever-changing skies. Under Ruolin Shi’s kaleidoscopic vision, this breathtaking landscape is transformed into a geometric symphony of colour, light, and motion.
Ruolin’s artistic journey began in 2020, during maternity leave, as she found solace in painting the majestic Rockies while isolated from loved ones during the pandemic. Her bold lines and vibrant hues offer a fresh, contemporary take on the landscapes that define Western Canada.
