Important Notice for U.S. Customers
As of August 29, following the elimination of the de minimis threshold, some of our U.S. customers have reported being charged tariffs on their orders. While we’re thrilled to share our Canadian-made puzzles with you, we want to be transparent about the realities of shipping across the border at the moment.
Here's what you need to know:
All StumpCraft puzzles are proudly made in Canada and qualify under the CUSMA/USMCA free trade agreement. In principle, this means they should cross into the U.S. without tariffs. However, recent changes to U.S. trade policies — along with inconsistent enforcement at the border — mean that some customers have been charged tariffs, duties, or brokerage fees when receiving their orders. These charges are assessed directly by U.S. Customs and your carrier (e.g., UPS, USPS, FedEx) and are entirely outside of StumpCraft’s control.
Temporary shipping pause for U.S. orders:
To prevent unexpected costs and confusion, we are currently holding all U.S. orders until we receive clearer guidance on how shipments will be processed at the border. This pause is temporary, and we’ll update you as soon as we have confirmation from carriers and customs authorities.
What this means for you:
StumpCraft only charges the amount you pay at checkout on our website. If U.S. Customs applies additional tariffs, taxes, or brokerage fees once we resume shipping, those costs will remain your responsibility as the importer. Unfortunately, we cannot predict when or why these fees are applied, as U.S. tariff rules can change quickly and are enforced inconsistently.
We remain committed to supporting our U.S. puzzlers, keeping you informed about changes, and doing what we can to minimize disruptions. For more details, please review our Shipping Policy.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support as navigate this uncertainty.
