Based in British Columbia's West Kootenay region, Abby Wilson creates bright, bold acrylic landscapes inspired by her time exploring mountain trails. Working from photographs and plein air sketches gathered on her hikes, she uses colour, shape, and line to push natural landscapes toward the surreal. Suncatcher captures a glowing mountain sunset, where stylized trees, rolling peaks, and reflected light come together to evoke the sense of awe and wonder found in wild places. Through her distinctive blend of geometry and geology, Abby transforms a familiar landscape into something both recognizable and dreamlike.
