Since 1983, Serge Demetrius Dubé has been painting with different mediums including watercolour, oil and acrylic. His hyper-saturated and fluid landscape paintings can be seen in various galleries across Canada, including his own studio in Langley, BC. Through the use of a unique liquid acrylic technique, Serge’s use of bold color, active line, and fluid movement draws the viewer into his abstract subjects. On closer look, you will discover a multitude of hidden images that have made their way from subconscious to canvas.
Serge puts forth a vibrant and dynamic landscape reminiscent of the Rocky Mountains surrounding Canmore, AB. As such, the puzzle is designed to feature shoulder season sights & activities in and around this mountain paradise: runners, a hiker, a snowmobiler, plenty of local wildlife and a subtle tip of the hat to the iconic Three Sisters. An artist whimsy piece can be found signing the painting, and Serge's quintessential collection of acrylic paint bottles can be found dispersed throughout the puzzle.
