About the Artist

Mandy Budan draws inspiration from the natural landscapes she finds wandering the provincial parks and conservation areas in her home province of Ontario. She is an adept at capturing elusive combinations of light, colour and shape with her thick, bold brush strokes. Her marvelous abstract colorist explorations of the Canadian landscape offer unparalleled and exhilarating possibilities for wooden puzzle enthusiasts.

This is the very first puzzle design that propelled us down our StumpCraft journey and artistic endeavour. While small in size, the puzzle packs a truly challenging punch due to the limited wildlife whimsies and the preponderance of classic StumpCraft line cuts. Mandy's beautiful art is a natural fit for puzzles and we hope to feature many other of her works in the future.
