A year in the making, another local art collaboration finally blossoms to fruition!
This time the beautiful artwork comes from the talented mind and handiwork of Calgary's own Melissa McKinnon. ‘Bursting Blooms’ is a joyfully modern interpretation of a traditional flower arrangement. These vibrant flowers are a celebration of life and the beauty of nature. Melissa's rich, unctuous textures and brush strokes are enhanced by puzzle pieces in the form of floral bouquets and vases, as well as a challenging circular outer edge. It's a perfect puzzle gift for that special someone who might enjoy flowers that won't wilt with time.
Note: all small StumpCraft puzzles, including this one, only come with a small reference label on the side of the box. For those wishing to use a larger reference image, please use the following link to display on your preferred digital display (iPad, phone, smart TV, etc.)

Mother's Day
Bursting Blooms was the perfect Mother's Day gift. My mom loves flowers so particularly loved this beautiful puzzle. She sat and completed around 10 pieces a day. The circular shape is so unique. It's the gift that keeps giving ... after my mom completed it, I did!

Amazing quality of the art as well as the pieces
I completed this puzzle right after completing a 500pc Gallison puzzle and the quality of the individual wooden pieces were a tactile joy.

Bloom puzzle
Really enjoyed the challenge, the quality is awesome.

I really enjoyed doing this puzzle. It has all the best elements of a Stumpcraft puzzle. The painting itself is colourful and attractive. The different flowers allow work on different sections by multiple puzzle lovers at the same time. And finding the hidden related items (vases, flowers etc) just bring more surprise and joy. I would recommend you get more of McKinnon's paintings, such as Journey into Autumn IV, Wild Poppies of Tuscany II, or Crimson View (yes, I liked it so much I researched her web site). I really like that you highlight local Canadian artists. That adds a personal touch which is important to me.

HI Judy - You'll be glad to know we're chatting with Melissa about our next puzzle with her art. A few of the art pieces you mentioned are also on our shortlist!

OK, Round?
This was a bit challenging to find the edge pieces. Lots of colour and fun flower pieces to fit in. Great puzzle and, as always, perfectly fitted together. Yea Stumpcraft!
