About the Art
StumpCraft Puzzles do tend to drift toward the more challenging end of the spectrum but this small, budget-friendly "snack" or "teaser" puzzle is one that can appeal to kids of all ages. The result is a fun, quick diversion that highlights the hidden geometry and animals that often populate Sam's eye-catching abstract landscapes. Many of the animals depicted as puzzle pieces can also be found camouflaged within the art (and vice versa).

Puzzle Design Notes
One of the aspects I love the most about puzzle collaborations, is the opportunity to meet great artists from across the country. This is especially the case when I personally can hand over a puzzle box to the featured artist themselves, as I had the pleasure of doing with Sam Millard while I was vacationing in Kimberley in March 2019.
Our plan was to meet up for dinner at our family's favourite Kimberley restaurant, Pedal & Tap. However knowing that there would likely be a lineup, I suggested a backup plan of meeting at Creme (the local cheese shop). "When someone suggests a cheese shop as a backup meet-and-greet location, I know we're going to get along", Sam said. The rest of the evening was spent enjoying food, drink, conversation and nanaimo bar ice cream before hanging out at a backyard campfire.
